Shocktober Fest 2025: Europe’s largest scream park celebrates 29 years of screams
When the nights grow longer and the air chills with the promise of autumn, there’s only one place thrill-seekers want to be: Tulleys Shocktober Fest. Back this October for 25 selected nights between the 3rd October and 1st of November, the UK’s biggest scream park is once again ready to deliver a Halloween like no other.
Part festival, part nightmare, the award-winning event has built a reputation as the home of Halloween. With live music, theatrical thrills, big-top cabaret, and a smorgasbord of feasts and freak-outs, Shocktober Fest promises a night where the lines between party and pure horror blur deliciously.
This year, a new horror stalks the Sussex farmland: Glitch. Hidden in an abandoned barn, the haunt plunges visitors into the aftermath of a government experiment gone horribly wrong.
A doctor’s dream of human perfection has shattered into chaos, leaving a sinister creation—known only as C.A.D—lurking in the shadows.
For veterans of Tulleys, the line-up of haunts reads like a greatest-hits album of terror. Alongside the brand-new Glitch, guests can stumble into the grotesque glamour of Electrick Circus, fight for survival in the post-apocalyptic Doom Town, and try not to lose their head in Chop Shop—a chainsaw-fuelled nightmare set in a mechanic’s garage from hell.
There’s the eerie charm of Creepy Cottage, now in its 29th haunting season, and the sinister ritual of The Carving, where the deceptively wholesome Appleton family invite you to dinner with deadly consequences. Add in classics like the Haunted Hayride: Route 666, Wastelands Penitentiary, Purgatory, Hell-ements, and the witch-ridden Coven of Thirteen, and you’ve got a line-up of spine-tingling experiences that demand repeat visits.
Shocktober Fest has become known not only for its world-class scares, but also for its innovative brand partnerships, blending pop culture with pure horror. Returning this year is NYX Professional Makeup, whose bold artistry will once again be splashed across the park, from immersive pop-ups to giant billboards along the Haunted Hayride. Guests can even step into the mysterious NYX Cosmetics Manor House, a new haunt-within-a-haunt, to discover sinister secrets behind the brand’s glossy façade.
And in a first for 2025, Greggs brings its iconic high-street presence into the world of horror. Forget sausage rolls, this Doom Town branch is crawling with the undead, as an interactive vintage Greggs bakery becomes overrun with zombies. Equal parts terrifying and tongue-in-cheek, it’s set to be one of the most talked-about additions of the season.
Hannah Squirrell, Customer Director at Greggs, says, “We’re excited to be partnering with Tulleys Farm Shocktober Fest for the first time this Halloween season, bringing our immersive scare attraction to the heart of Doomtown. At Greggs, we’re always looking for different ways to leave lasting impressions with our customers, and we’re hoping our haunting new attraction will be no different!”
But Shocktober Fest is more than just its infamous mazes. Expect sideshows and spectacles at every turn. Three music stages keep the atmosphere pumping with live bands and DJs, while Poker’s Party at 10 p.m. promises nightly dance-offs and jaw-dropping street performances. Between scares, the roaming characters and street theatre ensure the fun never stops (and the frights are never far away).
For those who think the haunts aren’t enough, the scream park also offers fairground rides and challenges to test even the hardiest thrill-seekers. Dare to take on X-LR8, the towering spinning ride that hurls you into the night sky, or strap into the Slingshot for a heart-in-mouth launch into darkness. Prefer your terror on the ground? Try your hand at axe throwing, push your limits with the electrifying Shock Chairs, or embrace the chaos of the spinning Waltzer.
Even monsters get hungry, and Tulleys doesn’t disappoint. Refuel with American-style comfort food at Bentley’s BBQ Grill, grab a hog roast or vegan street food between scares, and finish the night with churros or fresh donuts. For those who like their fear with a side of beer, the Reaper Bar, Saloon Bar, and Crooked Hag Tavern all offer atmospheric settings for a pint or cocktail, whether you’re in the mood for Wild West grit or medieval hearthside charm.
Whether you’re a seasoned scare-seeker or a Halloween newbie, Tulleys Shocktober Fest 2025 delivers the perfect mix of horror, hedonism, and heart-stopping fun. With 11 world-class haunts, festival-level entertainment, and food and drink to satisfy even the undead, it’s little wonder the event has become a global legend.
This October, step into the dark—if you dare.
